Our Redeemer Church family has over a 20-year history of missions partnership with the Reformed Church in Hanover, Jamaica. Our Senior Pastor, Craig Swartz, has been ministering in Jamaica since the age of 14 when his father began a missions trip for the Wheaton College Athletics Department. Redeemer Church traveled to Jamaica in 2017 with a team of 30 adults and students. We will be returning to Jamaica in July 2020 in partnership with multiple other churches with over 50 individuals to run Vacation Bible School and minister alongside local churches. We believe one of the best ways to grow in the gospel of grace, is to experience it. Sometimes it is hard for us to experience grace deeply as we go about our daily routines in comfortable, suburban America. There is something good for the soul when God's family gets out of their comfort zone and serves God's Kingdom with others that changes lives. Short-term missions provide an excellent tool for the mobilization of longer-term missionaries.
